Felony Vandalism

Contact: Tony CipollaPhone: (805) 781 4547Date and time of incident: 8-20-14, Approximately 7 AMPlace of Occurrence: 2200 block of Bonita School Road, NipomoVictim Information: N/ASuspect Information: Felix Guzman-Camarillo, 21, Santa MariaOn 8-20-14, a Sheriff's Deputy responded to a report of vandalism at Rancho Laguna Farms in Nipomo. The vandalism consisted of a truck, trailer and two port-a-potties which had been spray painted several times with the words "Camarillo" and "Santa Maria" in orange graffiti style lettering. The damage was estimated at more than $5,000.
When the Deputy arrived on scene, he made contact with the farm supervisor. At that time, the supervisor indicated a vehicle had just picked up a man that may have been involved with the vandalism and was leaving the property. The Deputy initiated a traffic stop and questioned the two people inside the vehicle. One of them, 21-year-old Felix Guzman-Camarillo, admitted to the vandalism. Guzman-Camarillo is a known gang member from Santa Maria who was on probation out of Santa Barbara County. He was arrested and booked into County Jail for felony vandalism with a gang enhancement.
