During the course of the investigation, a suspect was identified as 20-year-old Jaime Alberto Uc of Oceano and an arrest warrant was issued. On 8-7-16, Sheriff's Detectives and members of the Sheriff's Gang Task Force located the suspect at a motel in the 300 block of Traffic Way in Arroyo Grande. Uc was taken into custody without incident at approximately 6:03 PM and was booked into County Jail on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon.

Deputies located the victim outside the residence. He's been identified as a 40-year-old Hispanic man from the Phoenix, AZ area. The victim was transported to Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center where he underwent surgery for a stab wound to the torso. The victim remains at the hospital recovering from his injuries.
