Five people were detained this morning at the S. Oakglen location. Four people were detained at the Calle Fresa location. The outstanding suspect from last week's incident was not among those who were detained. He later surrendered and was arrested in the 100 block of W. Tefft Street in Nipomo. He is identified as 25-year-old Federico Lazaro and was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon with an alleged gang enhancement, carjacking, and conspiracy.
The Sheriff's Office responded with high-risk warrants which indicate the suspects involved in this incident were considered violent and dangerous. This was done to ensure the safety of residents in the neighborhood, those who lived at the locations searched, as well as officer safety. After last week's brazen assault, The Sheriff's Office will continue to aggressively respond to any neighborhood where there is this type of gang activity.
